(Robinson) — The Robinson Lady Maroons Softball Team split games in the Olney tournament Saturday to finish second. Robinson Lady Maroons and East Richland/West Richland passed the lead back-and-forth on Saturday, but eventually East Richland/West Richland prevailed 10-7. Kirbie Mendenhall took the loss for the Lady Maroons. She threw three innings, giving up four runs, six hits, striking out three, and walking zero. In the early game a walk-off home run led the Lady Maroons past Newton 6-5. The game was tied at five with Robinson batting in the bottom of the eighth when Malia Gunn homered off of Kristen Hardiek, driving in one run. Mendenhall earned the win for Robinson Lady Maroons Varsity. She went eight innings, allowing five runs, seven hits, striking out three, and walking one.
