Waste and Electronics Clean Up Saturday

(Robinson) — You can safely dispose of chemicals and electronics at a special event tomorrow at the Wastewater Treatment Facility in Robinson. The City of Robinson, Marathon and several other area businesses are teaming up for the Household Hazardous Waste Collection and Electronics Re-cycling Day. It runs from eight-to-two at the facility on North Mitchell Avenue. You’ll be able to safely dispose of any product labeled toxic, poison, corrosive, flammable, combustible or irritant. That includes things like cleaners, pesticides, oil and batteries. You can also dispose of things like fluorescent bulbs, propane tanks, fire extinguishers and paint. Saturdays program will also let you dispose of electronic item like televisions, computers, cameras and VCRs however they cannot take any major appliances. As a result of the collection event the City of Robinson Brush Dump will be closed Saturday. The access road to the dump will be blocked with collection trailers.
