County Board Met Last Night

(Robinson) — The Crawford County Board heard from County Engineer Justin Childress during last nights meeting. Childress was presenting resolutions for bridge work in Martin township. He also spoke to the board about the purchase of a new Volvo dump truck to replace a couple of International trucks that have become cost prohibitive to operate. The new truck should be delivered in late summer. In other business, Crawford County Health Department Director Darla Tracy presented the CCHD annual report and remind county residents that there are many services available at the health department. The county continues to look at selling the Commercium building but have hit a roadblock in the process. It has been discovered that an underground fuel storage tank is on the property. The process of removing it had begun however there is nearly three thousand gallons of fuel oil in the tank. The county is willing to give the fuel oil away to anyone who can retrieve it legally with the proper permits. For more information you are asked to call the county offices.
