(Oblong) — The Oblong Panthers jumped out to an early lead and never looked back en route to their 4-1 win over Wayne City. Nathan Meese got the win for the Panthers surrendering zero runs on one hit over six innings, striking out six. Tanner Otey threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen. Kacey Cheek went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Oblong in hits. The Panthers will be back in action on Saturday to face Edwards County.
