(Oblong) — The Oblong Panthers jumped out to an early lead and hung on for a 3-1 win over Edwards County in weekend baseball action. Kacey Cheek went seven innings, allowing two hits and one run while striking out 16. Nathan Meese, Tanner Otey, Cheek, Josh Bailey, and Connor Potts each managed one hit to lead the Panthers. They will be back in action Tuesday at Dieterich.
