(Undated) – If you have filled up your gas tank you know that gas prices have seen a sharp increase over the last couple of weeks. According to GasBuddy.com the average price for a gallon of regular unleaded across the state is at $2.83 a gallon. Here in Crawford County the average price is hovering around $2.60 a gallon. Jasper County is at $2.79 a gallon. Clark County is at $2.78 a gallon and Lawrence County is looking at an average price at the pump of $2.60 a gallon. The statewide average in Indiana is $2.81 a gallon. We will continue to pay higher prices at the pump thanks in part to an increase in the tax on gas. Here in Illinois will will be paying an extra two cents per gallon more. In Indiana they will be paying an extra nine cents per gallon more than last year.
