(Palestine) — Palestine Police Chief Jeff Besing is reminding the public that the 3rd annual “Guns & Hoses Basketball” fundraiser is coming up a week from this Saturday. The charity event pits your favorite police officers against your favorite firefighters in friendly rivalry basketball games. The “Guns and Hoses” basketball fundraiser is opened up to anyone who wants to put together a five person team. There will be a $5.00 entry fee per player and a $5.00 charge at the door for the public. The proceeds from this years fundraiser will benefit the purchasing LED Christmas displays for Leaverton Park Christmas Lighting. Concessions and door prizes will be provided by the Palestine High School Drama Club. The 3rd annual “Guns and Hoses” tournament will be held April 28th at the Palestine Grade School Gym.
