Township Board Met Last Night

(Robinson) – The Robinson Township Board of Trustees took care of a light agenda last night. Highway Commissioner Monte Murray reported that asphalt patching is underway and going well. The public is reminded that mowing season is here and motorists are asked to be aware of the mowers doing their work. They are working on clearing tall weeds and grasses for the Memorial Day weekend. In other business a total of eleven bids were received for the two cemetery mowers that were up for sale. After opening all bids, the winner was Bradford Supply with bids of $1,750 per mower for a total of $3,500. Three bids were received for the new Columbarium, which is the unit for cremated remains. The winning bid was submitted by Effingham Monument for $16,500.
