(Undated) – During last nights County Board Meeting Crawford County Treasurer Twila Bailey reported that she has distributed the first round of taxes to the taxing bodies in the amount of $15.5 million. Bailey also reminds taxpayers that the second installment of property taxes will be due Tuesday, September 4th with mobile home taxes due Thursday, September 6th. In other business, a committee of Gerald Blyew, Clint Williamson & Kevin Morrison were appointed as representatives of the county to work on the new agreement for the enterprise zone and EMA director Brad Midgett introduced Greg Newlin as the new Captain of the County Rescue team. This comes after the passing of longtime Captain Randy Cox. Finally the board passed a resolution in support of the second amendment of the Constitution of The United States.
