(Robinson, IL)  –  Several people stood outside the Robinson Correctional Center this morning in support of an employee facing disciplinary action for the Labor Day Weekend escape of Jared Carter. The DOC says a lack of supervision is why Carter was able to walk away from the prison. Lareese Olinger says the administration shouldn’t point the finger at one person.

His coworkers say a reduction in staff and administrative failures are to blame for Carter’s escape. They say the DOC had poor policies in place at the time and it was a failure of policy. They also disagree with the DOC’s assessment that an unmanned tower had nothing to do with Carter’s escape.
