(Undated) — The average price at the pump has continued to fade across much of the country. The national average fell 3.5 cents in the last week to $2.47 per gallon, according to GasBuddy.com. Here in Illinois the state wide average is around $2.40 a gallon. Across the river in Indiana it’s at $2.45 a gallon. Here in Crawford County we are a couple cents below the state average at 2.38 a gallon. Jasper County gas prices are even lower at around $2.30 a gallon. According to GasBuddy analyst Dan McTeague with oil’s rally finally showing signs of losing steam, gas prices across much of North America appear to be declining. An early projection of pump prices from now until Christmas and the New Year suggests prices will fall modestly, although total values will still be much higher than last year at this time.
