One Arrested in Palestine on DUI Charges

(Palestine) — An early morning traffic stop in Palestine has landed one in jail. According to Palestine Police Chief Jeff Besing, Officer Brandon Carpenter initiated a vehicle stop early this morning after seeing a Silver Ford F150 failing to signal while making a turn and crossing the center line while westbound on Franklin Street. David DeVires of Alsip, IL was arrested for suspicion of DUI. He was booked into the Crawford County Jail and charged with DUI-Refusal, Driving in the Wrong Lane and Failing to Signal.
