Two Arrested on Meth Charges

(Oblong) — Two Oblong men were arrested last night following the execution of a search warrant. According to Oblong Police Chief Chad Pusey during the search of the residence of Dirk Sheridan and Jeremy Talley a large amount of Methamphetamine was discovered. Several items of drug paraphernalia were also found during the search. Sheridan was booked into the Crawford County Jail on charges of Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Bringing Contraband into a Penal Institution. Talley was charged with Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. The Oblong Police Department was assisted by the Crawford County Sheriff’s Department, the Illinois EAS SRT Team and the Robinson Police K-9 Unit.
