(Lincoln) — The National Weather Service has placed much of the WTYE Listening area under a Winter Weather Advisory starting later this evening. The advisory goes into effect at 6 PM this evening and runs through 6 AM tomorrow. Officials say snow and freezing rain are expected this evening, making travel conditions difficult. Officials are calling for up to a tenth of an inch of ice and up to an inch of snow with the system coming through the area.
