Lawrenceville Man Sentenced to More Than Two Decades in Prison

(Lawrenceville) — A Lawrenceville man has been sentenced to more than two decades behind bars. According to United States Attorney Donald Boyce, forty seven year old Robert Turner of Lawrenceville was sentenced to twenty two years in a federal prison and ten years of supervised release on Methamphetamine charges. Turner had previously pled guilty to three counts in a federal indictment, including two counts of Meth Distribution and one count of Meth Possession with the Intent to Distribute. The investigation in this case was conducted by the Flora Police Department, the Clay County Sheriff’s Office, the Illinois State Police Southeastern Illinois Drug Task Force, the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office, and the Lawrenceville Police Department.
