Oblong Hires Co-Op Football Coach

(Oblong) — The Oblong Palestine Hutsonville Cooperative Football team now has a head coach. According to Unit 4 Superintendent Jeff Patchett Mark Ambrose will serve as the new head coach and as a PE teacher at the school. Ambrose is a 1989 graduate of Bridgeport-Red Hill High School and 1993 graduate of Millikin University where he played college football. Over the past 25 years, Mark has taught middle/high school physical education and health, coached high school football and track, been a school assembly speaker, youth leader, and owned and operated Don Beebe’s House of Speed, a sports performance training business. Currently, Ambrose is teaching and coaching football and track at Georgetown-Ridge Farm Schools in Georgetown, IL.
