(Robinson) — It was a packed house last night as the Robinson Chamber of Commerce held their annual banquet. The banquet is a way to honor business and community leaders for their service to the community and to recognize special efforts put forth by many of the members. Todd Weber with Weber Jewelry won the Business of the year award. Daphne Phillippe won the Youth Pride award for her work with military veterans at Robinson High School. The Daniel Pugh award was given to Mike Pierce while Steve McGahey was honored with the Distinguished Citizen of the Year award and Chris Forde was honored with the Outstanding Service Award from the Chamber. The Chamber recognized seven new members joining this year and also talked about what the future may hold for the city. The Chamber Banquet serves as the first official event of the year for the Robinson Chamber of Commerce.
