(Undated) — Most of Illinois will see rain and storms today, but southern and eastern Illinois could see the worst of it. The National Weather Service says folks from about Mt. Vernon to the Indiana line, and on down to the southern tip of the state are at an enhanced risk for storms this afternoon into this evening. Thunderstorm are expected today. A few of the storms this afternoon may be severe. Damaging wind gusts are the primary threat, but large hail and an isolated tornado are also possible. Flooding will continue for the next several days along portions of the Wabash, Little Wabash and Embarras rivers.
