(Oblong) – The Oblong baseball and softball teams split games with Cumberland Friday. The Lady Panthers were able to come away with a 7-4 win over Cumberland. Camryn Travis led the Lady Panthers to victory on the pitcher’s mound. She allowed eight hits and four runs over seven innings, striking out ten and walking one. The Panthers didn’t fare as well dropping the contest in a low scoring affair 2-1. Josh Bailey took the loss for the Panthers. He surrendered two runs on three hits over one and one-third innings, striking out one and walking zero. With the loss the baseball team falls to 3-5 the Lady Panthers remain a perfect 7-0 on the season. Both teams are set to take on Martinsville this afternoon.
