Statesmen Fall To Kaskaskia

(Robinson) – The LTC Statesmen dropped two Friday in doubleheader action against Kaskaskia. In game one the Statesmen lost a heart-breaker dropping an early lead an falling by a final of 12-9. Brady Bowling toed the rubber for LTC going five and third innings, allowing three hits and five runs while striking out three Thomas Cessna, Nate Thomas, Jacob Craig and Eddie Rodriguez each came in the game in relief. In game two LTC fell behind early and couldn’t recover falling by a final of 6-3. Joey Ivey was on the mound for Statesmen. He surrendered six runs on eight hits over five and two-thirds innings, striking out six. Jackson Niehaus threw one and one-third innings in relief. With the Friday sweep The Statesmen fall to 15-14 on the season. They are slated to be back in action today as they host Vincennes.
