Palestine Village Board Was Busy

(Palestine) – The Palestine Village Board took care of a handful of items during last night village board meeting. The approved the resolution to move forward with the sale of the property at 307 W. Market. The annual appropriations and prevailing wage ordinances were submitted and approved for 2018-19. In other business the board approved the addition of two handicapped signs for the Presbyterian Church. They will be for Sunday morning and other church functions only. No date has been set as to when the signs will be posted. Sealed bids were opened for the 2000 Dodge Ram 1500 Truck. Three bids were received and the winning bid was submitted by Gary Dunlap in the amount of seven hundred and fifty five dollars. Finally, Palestine residents are reminded that Palestine Police Department will be stepping up their enforcement of tall grass, clippings in the streets, derelict properties and other village ordinances.
