Warmer Weather Means TICKS

(Robinson) – The weather has finally begun to stabilize and with warmer weather comes the risk of ticks. Area health officials are urging people to take precautions against ticks. Authorities say that any time it is above freezing there is a risk for ticks, but April-September is prime time. According to the CDC it is best to avoid direct contact with ticks by avoiding wooded and brushy areas with high grass. You are also reminded to use repellent that contains 20 percent or more DEET.
