(Martinsville) — During tonights Harness Racing event at the Martinsville Ag Fair longtime announcer Carl Becker will honored for his years of service to Martinsville and the Ag Fair. Becker was 27 when he began calling races regularly at various fairs and the 80-year-old remains active today. He has spent more than five decades calling horse races and will officially be enshrined in the Communicators Hall of Fame, July 1 at the Harness Racing Museum and Hall of Fame in Goshen, N.Y.
