Felon Arrested On Weapons Charges

(Palestine) – The Palestine Police arrested a convicted felon on weapons charges following a traffic stop last night. According to Palestine Police Chief Jeff Besing, Officer Brandon Carpenter stopped a vehicle on Route 33 for suspicious activity around Dollar General and Improper Vehicle Registration. Following a search of the vehicle, twenty nine year old Nathan O’Dell was found to be in possession of a loaded 357 Ruger handgun. O’Dell was arrested for Unlawful Possession of a Weapon by a Felon and booked into the Crawford County Jail. Assisting with this arrest was Robinson Police Department K-9 Officer Nathaniel Nicklaus and K-9 Dex.
