County Board Approves Enterprise Zone Expansion

(Robinson) – The Crawford County Board voted to approve the Intergovernmental agreement with the City to expand the Enterprise Zone when they met last night. Kennedy Auto Care out of Palestine was seeking the expansion to assist in the building of a new facility. The County Board also approved the 2018 Prevailing Wage Ordinance. In other business, for the first time in fourteen years the Clerks Officer is raising fees. A certified copy will increase to $4.00. Marriage licenses will go from $40 to $65. Recording fees will increase from $40 to $74. The changes will go in effect on December 1st. Work on the Commercium will continue later this month. It was announced at last nights meeting that on June 25th Bolin Enterprises will remove the tank from the Commercium parking lot. They will be on site by 8am and will need a 60 foot perimeter around the removal site. The area around the tank will be marked off over the weekend prior to the beginning of work on the 25th. Authorities are asking that you park to the far East and South ends of the parking lot.
