(Undated) – Look out for the summer sun, heat and humidity this weekend. According to the National Weather Service, summer-like heat and humidity will be blanketing the area through the weekend, with afternoon heat indices peaking over 100 degrees tomorrow through Monday. The American Red Cross reminds you of some basic summer safety tips. Stay inside during the hottest parts of the day. Drink plenty of water, where light colored loose fitting and take frequent breaks if working outdoors. Check on family, friends and neighbors who do not have air conditioning. Check on outside animals frequently to ensure that they are not suffering from the heat.
