(Undated) – Belle Kemp, one of the event organizers is reminding those in need that the yearly backpack and school supplies giveaway at First Christian Church in Oblong will be held tomorrow from 2-4pm. During the event, while supplies last, they will be handing out backpacks filled with supplies and a lunchbox to area students. This school supply giveaway is open to everyone throughout the county including Grade School, Jr. High and High School students. According to Kemp they have around 150 backpacks to giveaway. There will also be a bounce house and cake during the event.
