(Undated) – The Palestine Unit 3 school board met last night and the 2018-2019 budget was approved. Palestine Superintendent Chris Long presented a Balanced Budget for the 2018-19 School Year and the fund balances should all be positive at the years end. Superintendent Long anticipates that the budget will be amended later in the year due to some of the repairs over the summer and those invoices coming in at a later date. The board also discussed an incentive of five thousand dollars, from the United Way of Crawford in the establishment of a fitness center. The district will meet soon to establish guidelines for its usage.
