According to the Robinson Police Department 18 year old RHS student Derek Tye was taken into custody on a preliminary charge of Falsely Making a Terrorist Threat, a Class One Felony. Oklahoma authorities alerted the Robinson Police Department to the treat after it was brought to their attention by a local youth belonging to a “Snapchat” group. The threat made reference to “shooting up a school” and “watching everyone suffer.” Robinson PD and School Resource Officer Eric Schmidt conducted the investigation which lead to Tyes arrest. RPD Public Information officer Bryan Danks says this is a great example of agencies in different jurisdictions working together.
