(Robinson) — Three Lincoln Trail College baseball players will continue their college careers with Division I programs after they complete their time at LTC. Right handed pitcher, Dalton Laney, signed with Indiana University, marking the fifth Statesmen to sign with a Big Ten school in the last four years. Right hander, Carter Poiry, committed to Murray State University, where he’ll join former Statesmen Joey Ivey and Chance Carner. Right hander, John Cheatwood, committed to Marshall University. LTC Head Baseball Coach, Kevin Bowers, says with such a talented Sophomore class, these three are just the first players he feels will commit to four-year universities.
