LTC Rolls to Wins Over Frontier

(Robinson) – Bryson Bloomer proved to be bad news for the Frontier pitchers as he led the Statesmen at the plate in a 16-5 win in game one of a Tuesday double-header. Bloomer drove in five runs on three hits. Dalton Laney was the winning pitcher for LTC. He lasted five innings, allowing three hits and four runs while striking out nine and walking one. Adam Kopff threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen. In game two, a strong start helped the Statesmen to a 9-5 win over Frontier. Mitchell Spencer led the LTC to victory on the mound allowing six hits and five runs over three and two-thirds innings, striking out four. Wyatt Joy threw three and a third innings in relief out of the bullpen and recorded the last ten outs to earn the save for Statesmen. LTC moves back to one game above .500 and will be off today before hosting Kaskaskia tomorrow.
