(Robinson) – The RHS Maroons were able to hang on for a 5-4 despite a “scrappy” Mattoon team that matched them run for run for the majority of the game. Cade Slaughter gets credit for the win pitching five innings, allowing three runs on four hits and striking out 5. Elliott Stifle pitched one inning allowing one run on three hits and striking out 1. The Maroons are set to host Marshall this afternoon for their first conference game of the season. RHS is currently at 7-1 on the season.
