(Robinson) – The LTC Statesmen split a Wednesday doubleheader with Olney. Game one saw Olney jump out to an early lead and hang on for an 11-6 win. Mitchell Spencer took the loss for the Statesmen. He allowed two hits and four runs over two innings, striking out four. In game two, Bryant Shellenbarger drove in five runs on three hits to lead LTC past Olney 10-5. Shellenbarger drove in runs on a home run in the first, a home run in the fourth, and a wild pitch in the fifth. Brady Bowling took the win for the Statesmen. He allowed seven hits and two runs over four innings, striking out three and walking one. Carter Poiry threw three innings in relief recording the last nine outs to earn the save. Following the split, the Statesmen are at 21-17 on the season and will square off against Olney this afternoon in Olney.
