(Robinson) – The LTC Statesmen split a Tuesday doubleheader with Shawnee yesterday. LTC rolled to a 5-1 win in game one. Jon McGee was the winning pitcher for the Statesmen. He lasted five and two-thirds innings, allowing four hits and one run while striking out three and walking zero. In game two, LTC couldn’t erase a five-run deficit to fall to Shawnee 5-3. Mitchell Spencer took the loss for LTC. He went two-thirds of an inning, allowing five runs on two hits and striking out one. The Statesmen are at 25-20 on the season and will begin a weekend series on the road with Southeastern.
