(Robinson) – The LTC Statesmen swept Southeastern in a Sunday doubleheader. Game one saw Jon McGee and John Cheatwood combine for a no-hitter en route to the 1-0 win. McGee gets credit for the win, surrendering zero runs on two hits over three innings, striking out two and walking zero. John Cheatwood started the game for the Statesmen. He allowed four hits and zero runs over six innings, striking out six and walking one. In game two, a Bryant Shellenbarger walk-off homerun lead LTC past Southeastern 3-2. Jacob Craig was the winning pitcher for Statesmen. He lasted one inning, allowing two hits and zero runs while striking out two and walking zero. LTC will hit the road today to face Southeastern on their home diamond.
