(Robinson) – The Newton Eagles handed the Robinson Maroons their first LIC loss of the season yesterday in a 3-1 win. Levi Hodge pitched four innings, allowing three runs on five hits, walking three, and striking out three to take the loss. Elliott Stifle closed out the contest on the mound for the Maroons, pitching three innings of one-hit ball striking out two. With the loss, the Maroons fall to 6-1 in the Little Illini Conference and 19-5 overall. They are scheduled to be back in action this afternoon at Olney.
