(Undated) – Gas prices across the nation continue to fluctuate among uncertainty in the global markets. According to Gasbuddy.com, average gas prices are down for the first time in three weeks, posting a 3.8 cent fall over the last week to $2.85 per gallon. However, Patrick DeHaan, Head of Petroleum Analysis for GasBuddy, says the potential lightning rod of a U.S./China trade deal is perhaps the one prospect that could bring a return to higher prices. The statewide average here in Illinois is still above the three dollar mark at $3.03 a gallon. Countywide prices have seen a decline from last week’s average of $2.80 gallon down to $2.77 a gallon. Jasper County is even lower at $2.72 a gallon. The statewide average across the river in Indiana is hovering around $2.91 a gallon.
