(Undated) – State, County, and local authorities are once again reminding drivers to stay safe this Memorial Day weekend. According to RPD Public Information Officer, Sergeant Dan Strauch, the Robinson Police Department will be joining forces with the Crawford County Sheriff’s Department, Oblong Police Department, Hutsonville Police Department, and Palestine Police Department to conduct county-wide DUI enforcement patrols during the Memorial Day Campaign. The State Police say they will be part of the national ‘Border to Border’ patrol this weekend. The Illinois Department of Transportation says Memorial Day is the start of the summer driving season, which is one of the most dangerous times of year on Illinois’ roads.
