Former LTC Player Drafted by the Astros

(Robinson) – Former LTC baseball player, Jordan Brewer, is headed to the majors. Brewer went in the third round of the MLB Draft yesterday. He was the 106th pick overall and is headed to the Houston Astros. Brewer was just named the Big Ten Player of the Year last month, where he led the Big Ten in batting average with a .358. He was second in slugging percentage at .637. He had 52 RBI’s, 69 hits, and 19 stolen bases. Brewer transferred to the University of Michigan after graduating from Lincoln Trail College, where he earned All-Northern District honors after his sophomore year and was a two-time All-Conference and All-Region selection.
