Red Cross Launching “Missing Types” Campaign

(Undated) – You may notice some odd spelling errors on social media and with your favorite brands. According to the American Red Cross, they are joining forces with other brands to highlight the need to donate. During the “Missing Types” campaign, the letters A, B, and O are disappearing from major brand logos, social media pages, signs and websites to draw attention to the critical importance of blood donations. Red Cross statistics show that just 3 out of every 100 people in the U.S. give blood. The fact is that there simply aren’t enough people, and the American Red Cross is launching the “Missing Types” campaign to urge the public to fill the gaps by making an appointment to give blood or platelets this summer.
