(Undated) – Another day of wet and rainy weather has brought our total rainfall for the month to nearly six inches. Here at the WTYE studio, we recorded 1.75 inches rain from yesterday’s storms. The heavy rain and high winds also led to damage at a number of locations throughout the county and area. According to the National Weather Service, flooding continues to be a major concern. With recent rounds of heavy rainfall and more rain in the forecast, many rivers will continue to remain above flood stage well into next week. The Wabash at Hutsonville is forecast to move above flood stage this evening, crest late Friday, before falling back below flood stage over the weekend.
