Oblong Mayor Reminds Everyone to Lookout for Outside Pets

(Oblong) – With an afternoon heat index above the century mark for the next few days Oblong Mayor, Teresa Fielder, is reminding residents in the area to think about outside pets. Fielder is reminding those with outside pets that if they must be outside, make sure they have adequate cold water and shade, and if you can, place a fan outside for them. The best thing to do, during the hottest part of the day, is to bring your outside pets inside. Avoid hot pavement and avoid unnecessary walks or exercise during this time. Fielder says, if the Village of Oblong or Oblong Police Department receives any complaints or concerns in regards to animals not being taken care of properly, they will call Crawford County Animal Control.
