(Undated) – As we all wrap up summer vacations and work on getting the kids back in school, there should be one other thing on your “to-do” list, giving blood. According to Joe Zydlo with the American Red Cross, there is an emergency need for blood and platelet donations to help end a summer blood shortage. Your next chance to give is coming up Thursday in Oblong. The Red Cross will be set up at the Oblong Municipal Building from 1 pm-6 pm. They’ll be in Flat Rock on Saturday from 9 am-1 pm at the Community Center. The Red Cross will be in Robinson at the Community Center on the 21st, CMH the 22nd, and Good Sam Occupational Health on the 27th. Visit redcrossblood.org to learn more.
