(Undated) – Yesterday’s storm front brought high winds and rain but, fortunately, was short-lived and did not cause much in the way of damage, locally. The severe weather swept across a large portion of the state with rain and straight-line winds that knocked down trees and power lines through portions of central Illinois. According to the latest forecast from the National Weather Service, there is a chance of showers and thunderstorms through the rest of the week. There is a 50% chance of showers and thunderstorms today, 70% Thursday, and 50% for Friday. Clouds look to dominate the weekend weather forecast as well.
