(Undated) – Fall officially begins in a couple of weeks but summer isn’t over yet. According to the National Weather Service latest “Hazardous Weather Outlook,” unseasonably warm conditions are expected for the middle part of the week, with afternoon heat index values near 100 degrees Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. The current forecast for the Classic Hits, WTYE listening area is calling for mostly sunny skies with highs in the 80’s. Things are expected to cool down toward the weekend as a storm front pushes through late Thursday. There is a chance of thunderstorms Thursday night, but severe weather is currently not expected.
