(Robinson) – The Robinson City Council took care of several items during last night’s meeting. The Tourism Committee approved requests from the Summer Softball Association for $4,500 and the Community Revitalization and Beautification Committee for $5,000. The council also approved the annual membership fee for Illinois South Tourism in the amount of $2,500. They also approved the sponsorship of the 2020 AGJA Golf Tournament. In other business, a trio of properties owned by the city will receive appraisals. The properties are located at 605 S. Cross, 807 S. Cross, and 1002 N. Robb. Appraisals will give the city a better idea of their value and what can be done with them. Finally, an amendment to the “Peddlers, Solicitors, and Transient Vendors” Ordinance was approved to prohibit such persons from setting up on city streets.
