Gas Prices Remain Uncertain Following Attack

(Undated) – Gas prices continue to trend downward across the nation. According to GasBuddy.com, for the ninth straight week, the national average price has fallen to $2.55 per gallon. The average price of diesel rose slightly to $2.91 per gallon. Head of Petroleum Analysis for GasBuddy, Patrick DeHann, says that while gas prices have drifted lower for the ninth straight week, all eyes now turn to Saudi Arabia after an attack that knocked out over 5% of global oil production. The statewide average here in Illinois has already seen a significant jump, up nearly twenty cents a gallon from last week’s average to $2.77 a gallon. The price at the pump here is Crawford County is still hovering around $2.62. The average price statewide in Indiana is up slightly $2.55 a gallon.
