(Oblong) – The Oblong Village Board met last night and took care of a handful of items. The Village has been going through the ordinances on the books and updating those that need it.

That was Oblong Mayor, Teresa Fielder. During last night’s meeting, the board accepted revisions to the “Raffles and Poker Runs” ordinance. Fielder reminds those interested in reviewing the Village’s ordinances to contact the Ladora Boyd at the Village office. In other business, the board voted to put the question of retail cannabis sales in the village on the March 17th, 2020 ballot. The vacuum truck will begin picking up leaves Tuesday, weather permitting. You are asked to rake leaves to the side of the street, not in the street. Finally, the public is invited to an informational meeting about scams. The meeting is set for November 19th at 6:30 pm at the Oblong Community Building.
