VPD Officer to be Subject of Merit Commission Meeting

(Vincennes, In) — The case of Vincennes Police Officer, Robert Hammond, will be discussed in a closed executive session by the Vincennes Police Merit Commission today. The meeting is closed to the public and no official action may be taken at today’s executive meeting. The next time any action may be taken is at the group’s next scheduled regular public session. That is on Tuesday of next week at five p-m, also at City Police headquarters. Hammond is charged with a warrant for child neglect and criminal confinement following an alleged incident at his home in Wheatland. He was suspended from the City Police Department, pending further action.
