Palestine Police Chief, Jeff Besing, recently took to social media to remind shoppers to stay safe. More people than ever before will do their shopping online and cybersecurity is important. Shop only sites you trust, beware of “to good to be true” deals, avoid public Wi-Fi, and always be on the lookout for scams. For those that shop in physical stores this holiday season, remember to be aware of your surroundings, park in a well-lit area, shop in groups, protect your PIN, and cover-up purchased items in your vehicle when traveling from store to store. By following a few simple steps everyone can have a safe and happy holiday season.
